The Top Animated TV Shows of 2023

The animated TV landscape is full of great shows, and we're here to tell you about them. In this post, we'll run down our picks for the top 25 animated TV series of 2022. This list includes some familiar faces (including "Atypical"), some new ones (like "Simpsons" spinoff "The Simpsons"), and even a few surprises! So without further ado:

#1. "The Simpsons"

The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening that began airing on Fox in the United States on December 17, 1989. The series is set in the fictional town of Springfield and parodies American culture, society, and television. In each episode, the Simpson family— Homer (voiced by Dan Castellaneta), Marge (Julie Kavner), Bart (Nancy Cartwright), Lisa (Yeardley Smith) and Maggie Simpson—visit various locations around town while encountering various characters typically encountered by people who live in such places.

#2. "Bob's Burgers"

"Bob's Burgers" is a satirical animated comedy show that follows the life of the Belcher family, who own and operate Bob's Burgers, a failing hamburger restaurant in New York City. The series is based on Loren Bouchard's real-life experience working at his father's burger joint back in the '80s.

The show takes many elements from 1950s sitcomsitcoms like Leave It to Beaver or Father Knows Best but also incorporates some dark humor into its premise--the Belchers are never portrayed as being perfect people; they're just trying their best to make ends meet while raising three children (Linda, Gene and Louise).

#3. "South Park"

South Park is an American adult animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and developed by Brian Graden, who was the first one to come up with the idea of the show. The series revolves around four boys - Stan Marsh (voiced by Ike Barinholtz), Kyle Broflovski (voice of Pamela Adlon), Eric Cartman (voiced by Trey Parker) and Kenny McCormick - in suburban Colorado who are often harassed by their school principal, Mr Garrison; they also deal with their parents' divorce issues.

The show originally ran between 1997-2006 before being cancelled due to low ratings; its last episode aired on August 13th 2006 after 19 seasons! It has since returned with three new seasons so far: "Season 20" premiered on September 21st 2018 , followed by "Season 21" which premiered October 9th 2019 , then finally came back for another 3 years starting with season 22 which premiered December 14th 2020 .

#4. "Family Guy"

Family Guy is a satirical comedy that centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of father Peter, mother Lois, daughter Meg and son Chris. The series follows their everyday lives in Quahog (a fictional city in Rhode Island) as they deal with their personal problems and those around them. It has been picked up for two more seasons by Fox after its initial run of fourteen episodes ended in 2003.

The show was created by Seth MacFarlane with his writing partner Alex Borstein who play major characters on the show like Meg Griffin or Lois Griffin

#5. "Archer"

Archer is a half-hour animated comedy series on FX. It follows the life of an ISIS spy agency and its employees, including its leader, Sterling Archer. The show has been described as "a spy show with no actual spies". In fact, there are no real spies that appear in the show; instead it focuses on Archer's adventures as he tries to make sense out of everything around him while dealing with his family issues and personal relationships.

The first season of Archer premiered in 2010 and ended after eight episodes; however, FX commissioned four additional seasons before canceling it due to low ratings (the show received consistently low numbers throughout its run). Despite having such limited success outside of Japan where it had been popular since its debut there several years earlier (it was dubbed into Japanese), FX decided not give up hope on reviving their animated hit but instead gave it another chance by rebooting it with Family Guy producer David Zuckerman taking over as showrunner while former Simpsons writer Adam Reed returned behind the scenes directing episodes alongside original writers Matt Thompson & Ben Garant who wrote all except one episode each during Season 5 & 6 respectively .

#6. "Rick & Morty"

In 2022, Rick and Morty returned for their seventh season. It was the first animated series to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 2017. The show is set to air on Adult Swim, which is owned by AT&T's DirecTV division.

#7. "Rick and Morty"

This is a sci-fi comedy series about a genius scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith. The series follows their adventures in the universe, as they explore different worlds, solve mysteries and face off against alien invaders.

The show launched on January 1st, 2017 on Adult Swim (Adult Swim is another name for Cartoon Network). The first season had 26 episodes that were all released in two parts each year until it concluded at episode 29; however after that there were no more plans for new seasons of "Rick and Morty" but fans still love watching old episodes over again!

#8. "American Dad!"

American Dad! is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzenhoffer for the Fox Broadcasting Company. It is a parody of spy films, with a heavy focus on parody, satire and black comedy. The series' main character is Stan Smith (voiced by MacFarlane), who works as an agent for the CIA while living in his own household with his wife Francine (voiced by Amber Cragg) and their three children: Roger (voiced by Scott Grimes), Hayley (voiced by Wendy Schaal) and Steve(voiced by Scott Grimes).

The show ran from September 17th, 2005 to May 19th, 2017 when it was cancelled due to low ratings despite being renewed for Season 10 at FOX which was then released on Hulu before ending there too.#ENDWRITE

We think that the best way to sum up these shows is by listing them in order of how good they are. That means at number one we have "Atypical," a show with a lot of heart and an amazing cast who deliver performances that are sure to make your heart explode (or at least get it beating faster). From there, things start getting serious again: "The Simpsons" remains one of the most iconic programs in history, and its cast has been around since day one. The rest include some newer shows like "Bob's Burgers," which features the voices from Mr. Pickles himself; "South Park" has been running strong for over 20 years now; then there's Family Guy—sorry if this got you expecting something else!
